@russellh yep, I am tempted in trying to make one myself while I still have one I can pattern. I just use covers for storage at a yard so it does not have to be perfect...
I bought a cover for an a 03 from a member, @cabo and thought from the 03 to the 05, something had changed. I know some of the earlier 03's had a different upper deck layout. At any rate, the cover I had it snapped to the top of the windshield. This one goes over the windshield but I don't have any snaps along the bottom of the window. Do they go into the fiberglass or into the bottom edge of the window? Guessing it will/would be a pain to drill the glass...
@rasbury I'm not sure if your windshield is the same as my 2008, but I just added a cockpit cover to mine that went down over the windshield. I didn't have any snaps there but was able to add some into the slot along the bottom of the windshield.
Well @chamberb , have not looked to close, but there is a rubber trim running along the lower edge, perhaps the is where I need to look. This is a real nice cover and @cabo hooked me up, appreciate it.
Mine had the rubber trim too, just above it (I think) was a channel that would accept the male snap receivers. You can test it by removing some of the snaps from the channel located along the top of the windshield for your existing cover and see if they fit in the channel along the bottom (again, if your windshield is the same as mine).
nope, I don't see anything along the bottom so will have to look and see if I can drill into the frame without hitting glass (Yikes!) or if I drill into the figer glass, neither being a choice I like!
Thanks @chamberb I will look again tonight...I'm going to start on this project when I get home, at least down the sides anyway....thrilled to have this cover, now I can keep the seats from getting wet and a couple dry compartments I can now keep dry!
I just checked @tniggel 's 2007 270 and his snaps are into the gel. I am not sure if I would even consider drilling into the windshield frame. If you break the glass, you are screwed. Al might have some advice for you if you still want to drill into the frame.

@Cableguy Greg I hear you...I'm thinking that there is not really any room to do that- I might snap in the two spots on the door in the frame so I don't have the darn things to step on or trip over when I go through the windshield......will start to tackle this tonight when I get home...this pesky work thing sure does slow up work on the boat!
I do have one question, on the very front there are on either side of the glass where it now snaps to the deck, a different type of fastener....kind of a slot that would go over something and then twist I guess to hold in place? Perhaps to make sure the wind does not blow the snaps loose? Is that a WM item?
@aero3113 that looks like what would work, thanks! WM is getting kind of bad that you can't walk in there and get stuff. If I have to order online, I might find them cheaper somewhere else. I really like to support a brick and mortar store but....
