Acess to Fuel Sender Unit

I have 97' 266 Fiesta Vee. The gas level acts a little weird reads low when stopped and good while underway on plane.
Tried to fill while reading low and only took $14 + of fuel before running over. Does anybody know where to find access to the sender unit for fuel tank? I know it could be the vent line etc. but I would like to start with the sender because the boat sat in the water for many days without being moved.

The sender is mounted directly to the gas tank on it's own nozzle. You will see wires going into it.

I wouldn't remove it unless you know the fuel level is low enough.

I know what the sender should look like, but where can I find it? Good suggestion on the fuel level, and thanks for all the responce.

Mine is in the engine compartment on the gas tank as aft as possible right in the center of the tank. I have a 260 EC.
