Sounds like a fire sale.  Not good.

We'll see.  Every brand is for sale, all the time.  Just like boats.  Every boat in my marina is for sale, including mine.

This is just my opinion, when investers invest in a certain field and it does not produce the resalts  they were expecting they want to bail and find something that will make them more money. Someone will buy Rinker that is not so greedy and Rinker will be fine.

And up my bid to $2.00

Fingers crossed that this ends well for the employees and the brand.

If I ran Cobalt I'd take a hard look at snapping up Rinker. The two lines would be a nice fit in my opinion. But I could be wrong. This is the boat business, which is not in my wheelhouse, pardon the pun.

I think the value of the brand is enhanced by the individual owners and how much they like their boats.  That should be a draw to any boat builder looking for a great addition to their line up.
