Stern Drive problem

Hi, Last weekend I was out in the water and one of my stern drives hit a sand bank, soon after this I heard an alarm from the engine and on inspection I had no oil in the reservoir for that stern drive. I shut that engine down and returned home on the other engine, I have since inspected underwater and have found a bracket has broken, I am not sure what this part is called but it seems to be a horse shoe shape close to where it comes from the back of the boat, I have attached a photo with a sticky note to show what has broken. I know this is not a small problem and the boat will need to be lifted out of the water for repair but my question is, will I need a complete new drive or can this bracket be replaced? Also if I have lost all the oil does this mean I have water in the outdrive now? Can I expect any further damage that I am not seeing? The props seem fine and it was only soft sand. I am no expert on these drives so any help or advice will be appreciated.
