Mercury "High Efficiency" Oil Filters Up-Date

So far, fingers crossed, there has been no engine "knocking" on start-up after I replaced the "Spam" filters the marina installed with Mercury High Efficiency Oil Filters PN 35-858004K. IMO there was a clearly visible difference in quality between the "Spam" filter and the Mercury - with the Mercury being heavier and looking far more professionally constructed. Until I read of a better Mercury oil filter product this will now be my oil filter of choice and I will (as per my comments in the earlier thread) replace the oil filters at the half-way mark of every oil change and top-up my oil for, inexpensive, extra insurance.
