How to install trim tabs on a 212 Festiva

I want to install Bennett hydraulic trim tabs on my 212 festiva. Bennett has a tech article here http://www.bennetttrimtabs.com/tech-help-support/project-boats/rinker-captiva-232/ would the install be the same for my 212? The transom looks very similar.

Well I guess nobody has done this. I bought Bennett M120 trim tabs on recommendation from Bennett. I will install them in the spring when the boat comes out of storage. I will post pics then.

Yes, welcome to the forum and take some pictures to post please. I think @212rowboat installed trim tabs on his 212 and I think there are other 212 owners who have done this as well. You may soon see some comments.

I put smart tabs on mine... just the hydraulic strut kind... they work great for me, especially with the pleasurefive ron hill prop... the boat is wicked nimble and responsive at idle speeds- like it's on rails.  

the tabs were mounted as soon as the hull flattened out enough from the concave, which isn't as optimum as having them on the outer portion of the transom, but it's better than without.  the smart tabs were worth it for the handling alone. they have no added worth at planing speed, though, as an adjustable tab would... I just can't justify the need for adjustable tabs, though...

I finally got around to installing the Bennett M120 hydraulic tabs on my 212, turned out real nice. Now just need simmer to come so we can try them out.
