Under Platform Swim Light Replacement - 2006 Rinker 390

Looking to replace the bulb in the underwater swim light on my 2006 Rinker 390. Any one have any luck finding a super bright LED replacement? Any tips and trick to replacing that?

Do you have the bulb out? If so, I am sure there is an LED replacement.

@JPC, you might even be able to find an led that will be switchable for three (or maybe more) colours.

I had one like that on an older boat and you could not replace the bulb, it was a completely sealed unit. I would take it off and put in an LED from coastalnightlights.com

I have a couple lights out  Has anybody changed bulbs on 2008 260 Transom light,salon light or small courtesy light they dont seem to unscrew?????? Thanks

The transom light you just pop off the silver ring and two screws hold the light in. The courtesy lights you have to get from behind (ex. engine compartment). You have to unscrew the backing ring and then the entire light pulls out. What do you mean by the salon light?

If they are the flush mount ones, they pull down to get them out. There is supposed to be a ring to remove the lens. I replaced mine with exact replacement fixtures that are LED from the OEM manufacturer, ITC Marine.

Replace the bulbs with LED's. They use less power and they don't get hot.

LEDs get very hot if you use them in your house. Thats why they have a huge heat sink around the base.

LEDs still don't get as hot as incadesent bulbs though. They are much more efficient, hands down.

for now there is only 1 bulb out I want to replace it and then later I can change all
Also looking for the small mood light bulbs around the floor in the seating area there are 2 out in the motor compartment

For the lights around the floor. If they are the same has in my 2007 they are special, it is a small led attached to a resitor,
I could not find an original replacement so I did modify a regular 12volts led and socket from eBay works really good and you can have any colours.
