Installing new vhf and does not cover the old hole..what the heck is the name of the white plastic like material to repair this? It's mot lexan...star something?

Michael T Member Posts: 7,227 ✭✭✭✭✭Starboard is excellent but I think the thinnest it comes is 1/4 inch? I have used white plastics like lexan and even thin aluminum to make backing plates - for a very finished look. I have primed aluminum then painted it different colors. I have friends who have fabricated aluminum backing plates then had them powder coated. I thought my spray painted ones looked as good for a fraction of the price.
