Sony Stereo Replacement

I would like to replace the Sony AM/FM/CD player with a Blue Tooth capable unit that you can still use the Sony remote. Is there a unit that will work to accomplish this?

If there's nothing wrong with your existing player, it's cheaper and easier to add a Bluetooth interface that plugs into the auxiliary jack.  Look here:

@sdholzhauer -The remotes may be interchangeable using the same harness as long as you stick with the same manufacturer. I have the Sony MEX-M70BT with the remote RM-X11M  You could google its features to see if you liked them. We do. It is synched to all our other electronics and works great. You can receive verbal notifications and texts from all major electronic equipment via an assortment of apps. It has decent power but is also connected to an amp and powered sub woofer. IMO the sound is excellent and the EQ and fader work really well. the price is decent and it goes on sale fairly regularly.

That Milennia bluetooth adapter looks like a cheap way to add bluetooth to the system. On my 280EC, I could grab power from the stereo power feed and feed the audio thru the Aux input on the receiver. Might be a good winter project.

Yes, after using the Bluetooth adapter for a season, I'm very happy with it.  I see them online for $25 now.  

At some point, I might experiment with placement to get better range.  The device is literally hanging off the back of the stereo head, which is in the forward part of the cabin.  If I carry the phone to the swim platform, the signal starts breaking up.  I might try moving the device higher and further aft.  

(This is on a 370, so the stereo head is probably 30 feet away from the swim platform.  Placement might not matter on a smaller boat.)
