We stay at Venetian Marina, we usually head over to the back side of Kelley's Island to hang off the hook... Any other RBOs out there are free to join us..  Post here if you're interested..

I used to hang out there quite  a bit.  Great place.  Soft sand.  Now that I have sold my 342 and scaled back for retirement I am taking delivery of my 260 next week

That is a great area!  My sister-in-law used to have a house on Kelly's within walking distance of that park. (as a matter of fact, when I was there I saw a couple Rinker's anchored)

I heard they were going to do something with the mining quarry they had there (like fill it in with water maybe for a marina?).  Ever hear that?

there have been so many state and fed dollars dumped into the islands the past few years, i'm sure that's a possibility.  They are trying to draw in tourists, but I know a few of the local enterprises have died because of the new parks run marina on middle bass island.  All in all, i think it boosts tourism though... time will tell!
