It doesn't mean they will go away the ones that I closed will always be there I just didn't want comments made under them so they didn't get lost in the jumble just Like the old RBO Library only Adm or Mods could add to it. Did that make scene

I guess I need to get use to the new set up. It was nice to add to an old topic that's all. No biggie....

I have to agree with Ray that sometimes there is an update or correction to a thread that might be relevant to someone who found an older topic in a search. Being a new site for us I should probably try the search before I worry about whether it'd be useful to add to older posts just to see if they can be easily found. Now if it swings way off topic or becomes an irrelevant flame fest, then yeah, lock it up.
    Just sayin'. Mike

Gotta hand it to Boomer. He's pouring his heart into it. And the host seems ready to help with site upgrades to make it easier. There's a bit of a learning curve but just do a shout out and somebody will help if you can't get something. Actually I think the site has even more potential for upgrades and time will tell. It's gaining traction at a pretty good pace.

EDIT: I just went back and noticed what Ray meant by a "closed" topic. Once again I was reading too fast and now I see that they are really library topics that Boomer has been adding, not really topics for discussion like I assumed. It was the library that he'd saved that really jump started the new forum and he's been adding new stuff constantly..over 140 posts in 2wks. That's awesome stuff.

I'm just glad to have a place to talk about boats with like minded guys (and gals..to be PC).

    Cya, Mike

Yes, I think keeping the library the way he is doing it may be best.  you can also add your own stuff to another topic under the library.
