New Boat Performance Records

According to my marina, every boat manufactured by most major brands has a recorded performance test done prior to delivery. I know AL must be aware of this but has anyone seen any test reports on any boat? He said he is going to call Rinker and get the results for my boat. If we all had our test results it is a great report to refer too if needed.

There are also great tests from Boating Magazine and some other top magazines. I came across a great one of my EC 360 including charts and graphs of the engine performance re: mpg and gph right up the rpm band.
However, I doubt very much that EVERY boat has a performance test done by EVERY manufacturer - particularly prior to delivery - but I bet some manufacturers test each model once. I know my 2014 EC 360 did not have a "performance" test done on it prior to delivery. It was put in a "water tank" to check operating systems but that is NOT a performance test.....your marina may be inhaling too much CO. LOL
Steve, they usually set a model up and test it thoroughly then other models are similarly equipped.....and if there is an issue at the after sale sea trial the dealer and the manufacturer are "supposed" to rectify the prop selection! That has to be an option as one guy may order a generator and the next not etc. Different equipment loads might call for different prop selections.
I know for sure my Rinker 2013 EC 310 and 2014 EC 360 were not open water tested. Put in a factory tank yes, but not open water. I expect the original models were. It would be too expensive to test each model of regular production craft to any degree.
Fountain used to do it. Cigarette did it. Dave's Custom Boats did it etc. But they are high-end custom boats not family runabouts and cruisers.
Steve, then I'd try to find someone sympathetic at Rinker or see if Rinker could, at least, give you contact information for another buyer of your set-up.
BTW - Didn't you mention on the forum one time that a couple of sister ships to yours were shipped to Europe. If Rinker still had that info - and they should, maybe you could track the owners down for info. Might even be fun trying?
