@BD, that's really cool....and people say marine engines are old tech. Mercury has some of the latest tech available and pretty much the only "mass produced" big blocks.

Impressive.  The 1650 weighs only 0.5 pounds per horsepower, compared to 3.2 lb/HP for a Merc 496.  Of course, the 1650 is a $75k engine.
