They had "2016" versions of the 260 and 290 at the Toronto Boat Show. A rep was there and basically indicated that they did have new models for only a small number of boats. However, looking through the 260 EC, I didn't notice any differences from last year's model, so probably just a minor update based on available parts.
Speaking of boat shows, just an FYI, our local boat show is this weekend at the Bradenton Area auditorium here in Palmetto. We are planning on visiting just to see what is new since 2006.
Yes Ray, but the boat length is calculated from transom to bow (at least according to the Canadian Boat Regulations). Same with my 260EC, which is actually 28'10". For me to get the same size in a Four Winns, I would have to buy the v285.
That's nothing new for them. My 97 FV280 was 30'2". The 1997 catalog listed the FV300 as 33' over all if I recall. And they didn't have a platform to speak of. Just a 18 inch wide area in the back.
All the newer boats are now catheterized by LOA. My 2002 342FV is longer than a 2015 360EC. That started a few years ago. Not sure about Canadian standards but I would think that if Rinker is selling a boat in Canada and in the US that its the same boat with the same model.

Hey @raybo3 , is that a Freudian slip? I've been catheterized on a couple of occasions, Foley AND Suprapubic. Not a lot of fun! I'd rather be boating, for sure!!
Ray, in Canada the dealers are classifying Rinker models as per Rinker factory/brochure classification. That said, I don't think my 2014 EC 360 is 37' 11" LOL.
