342 Dock Side?

Which side do you dock your boat on?  I have always docked port side against the dock, however friends want me to move between their boats which would put me on starboard side.  I am confident docking the boat to either side but with power connections on port side this seems like it may be a hassle.   Is it easy to connect power from inside?

Because we kept our well when we upgraded to the 342 and it was starboard side docking, we had to drape the shore power cable across the swim platform and up the port side to the shorepower inlet.

I plan to dock the port side to the seawall at the new "marina".

Newer boats have shorepower inlets on the stern or both sides.  Might look at adding starboard side shorepower, or something in the "trunk".

Thats kinda of my thought too, but i think one of them has rear inlets so maybe we will move him to the middle.

On my old Vista it only had one on the port. on my 280 it has 2. I switched to backing in my 280 to the slip for easy walk on access to the swim platform.

Why not put one of these on the port side to hold your lines....

Do you back your boat in?

I have shore choice which is shore power on port and starboard.

I back in though and dock on starboard.
