Aft Filler Cushions

Christmas came really early this year. Every season I try to hunt down aft Filler cushions for my 270 with no luck. The other day I went to pick up a part from my local dealer and right next to the door leaning against a boat were a pair of those cushions. I was almost joking when I asked if those were for me but as it happens, they were for me. Mike who is one of the owners, remembered me asking about a pair when I ordered my part and he took the time to go through their old inventory because he thought there may have been a pair up there. 

I am thrilled to get them because I wasn't able to find them anywhere and was about to start building new ones from scratch. As you can see in the picture, they are in perfect condition. Thank you Kehl brothers for always being available and very fair as well.

Can't wait to get the season started. By the way, I am writing this as we are waiting for 2-5 inches of snow to hit us in the north east and we're still dodging the flu.

I spoke with Kehls last year and they said they could get them no problem.  Are they now hard to get?

Very nice! Would like to find the one for my 280! But want to make sure the 07 model was set up for it. I have seen it on the 2008 and up models.. Maybe I can find someone with a template on here to make one...

@DazeOff, good for you! The Admiral and all of the girls love the aft fill-ins and front sunpad. They sun tan and have fancy cocktails there and the guys hang out on the swim platform. Great party enhancers + people can sleep out there if you have a crowded cabin!

If you make the run to Pittsburgh this summer and we meet up, you can try mine. If not, I will make you a template. Check under the rear seat and the rear facing seat behind the helm seat. If the front edge is beveled down, then it is set up for it.

Kehls said they are no longer in stock due to age of boat.  Boo!

I also asked them last year when I read a post here but theu told me the same thing that they are no longer available. I got lucky.

I contacted them last June and said they could get them.  That was when Ann worked there.  There is a new lady that Tom said was horrible.  He said he could no longer get them.

My wife really loves the aft filler cushion.  The downside is I that need to remove it to open the engine hatch, but my convenience is less important than the Admiral's happiness!  

Some designs have a dangerous tendency to slip out from under your feet when you step onto the boat.  If yours does that, it's easily fixed:

My boys really like the new cushions, it really creates a whole new space. The girls are on the bow and they get their own space.

BTW, before anyone asks, he's wearing the muffs because we were at the airshow and it can get really loud when those jets fly directly over us.
