Got to be real careful with the new engines, particularly with Axius as it has power parameters and clean power specifications that are pretty specific. I sure as sh*t wouldn't want to burn the Axius computer and void the warranty. Diesels are more forgiving LOL
....and yes, @BMXZ 65 amps IS puny compared to what a lot of cars seem to run.
I asked a Merc representative how hard it would be to up-grade to one of the fantastic marine grade alternators made by Balmar. I guy at our marina up-graded to a twin set of Balmar 165 amp units. They were beautiful. He could have lit a small town at idle LOL. the Merc rep. told me to stick to boating and leave the design to them LOL. He's probably right. Still......

Mine put out 65 amps each which is required for Axius as are series 31s with at least 800 CAs.
