Here's what I'm thinking. We just got a little too much tobasco in that discussion.
From reading this forum for years I am in awe of the intelligence, ingenuity and flat-out go get it attitude of the guys (and gals too). We attack difficult problems from divergent points of view, offering each other an incredible array of solutions to problems that would confuse lesser mortals.
99.9% of the time we disagree with respect.
We own the best boats and from what I have seen posted on this forum the coolest cars and hang out with the best looking women on any forum for anything yet alone boats.
My grandmother used to say if there isn't a little vinegar in a man's p*ss he'll never go anywhere. I think all of us have a decent %age of vinegar in ours. That's what makes us the best around.
Vinegar is great for making pickled eggs and sausage (which go great with beer) but sometimes it boils over.
The trick is to wipe it up, have a beer and keep doing what we do best - form the brotherhood of Rinker guys - second to no one for boats, cars, girls or vinegar content.
If you read the entire post again jbam attacked several times. He is new to this forum. Enough said. We simply can not believe it's 12 volts. If so it would kill some batteries quick I would think. Maybe you can post a pic of the label. What he wrote to me was far more pathetic than what I said. Why didn't he attack frendship? He called him out first on the voltage. Anyway, I won't allow a loser to take away my first ammendment rights
Hey guys lets tone it down a bit here and stop with the personal attacks. We are all here on the forum for the same reason. Now let me drop my 2 cents in here for a minute. I do not know if the grill is 120 volt or 12 volts. However its not the voltage that would run the grill its the amps that make it hot. With that being said if it really is 12 VDC then it would not heat for a long period of time. The batteries would drain very fast. But like I said it would get hot..... very hot.

I could really care less about what or how it's powered as I never used it. So because of that I got some guy tell me I shouldn't even own a boat. That was bull!!!! That guy needs to get off his high horse, he does this stuff on various other threads to alot of pepole.
Opinions are like butts, we all have one. That being said I think Raybo is right, if it was a 12v it would drain a battery bank or even one hooked to an inverter in a short period of time. I hope just because some of us are new to this forum we are not looked down upon or our opinions have more or less value. If so this becomes a closed forum that discourages new members, such as myself. While I just bought a 212 captiva, I own a houseboat for many years and some of the systems are the same as a cruiser. My opinion may be right or wrong as with the rest of the members, no matter how long we have been a member.
Just for everyone's information, LOL after a comment means that it was a joke. So if anyone on here can't take a joke (it's normal with us boat guys) then you must inform us in your opening statement. Just sayin
Its not about opinions its about personalities and yes everyone has one. I think Handys comment about owning a boat was meant to be a joke and JB took it the wrong way or it just struck a nerve. Whatever....... We are grown men (and women) so lets just end it. So with that being said it is CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!

.....and that would be my 2 cents.
Are we good, men? :-)
I believe handy was just joking the entire time but I can see how it was takenough literally and caused offence.
If you go back and read handy's messages as if it was two buddies joking with one another ... let me know what you think.
At some point it turned serious and we'll here we are. It sucks.
