Sound while in the water

i am planning to add speakers to direct sound off the boat toward the rear.  On my 330 I really don't see a good location for any conventional speaker installation.  My plan now is to install JL Audio tower speakers on the radar arch for this purpose.  I am hoping this will shotgun sound in that direction and not overpower the cockpit.  Separate amp so I can regulate gain separate from the cockpit.  Any thoughts, comments or experiences?
