Port side little stiff

in Generator Discussions
so played around with my shifters today
starboard is nice and smooth
port side has some tension and I can hear some almost like rubbing inside the lever housing. Does it with gear and throttle only mode.
thinking about taking the base off and lubing the crap out of it

    I had a very similar problem when the Salt Shaker was just a pup.  The starboard shifter was a bear to shift into gear.  The shifter levers and all the related interconnects to the engine were eventually replaced which solved the problem.

    i don't have to force it. Just small tension but almost sounds like it's rubbing internally on something. It could be a throttle cable itself. Next time I am out I will take it off and see if it's mechanical or cable itself

    Could be a kink in the cable some place. Maybe do a quick check on the cable.

    Might want to check the carb too.  If a linkage on the carb is not moving well it could cause the cable to move poorly.

    Gave controls some oil and grease
    then noticed Detent and friction adjustments were way different the star side
    got it adjusted and looks good now
