Flitz for isinglass. WOW!

Some of my isinglass panels were in really bad shape. Before biting the bullet and having new ones made, I thought I would try the Flitz headlight restoration kit I saw on YouTube. It included the paste, a polishing pad/ball that doesn't heat up (won't burn the isinglass) and a finishing spray wax. It took me about 20 minutes for 1 panel but I'm pretty impressed so far. Check out the before and after. Not like new, but considering how yellowed and damaged they were I can definitely use them. I'll post more as I finish them.

Impressive it worked on PVC, headlights are polycarbonate. Hope you can stretch a season more out of it. The issue with PVC (eisenglas) is it has very poor UV resistance, once it starts degrading you can't stop it.

spray them with aerospace 303 spray as a protectant.  it will help with the UV exposure

Dazeoff, I see your essinglass has a texture to it, seems like for privacy. Can you easily see through that glass??

MarkB- pretty sure that is an outdoor table underneath the eisenglass that he is working on... Initially thought the same thing as you!! Lol

Be interesting to see how long it stays more clear.  I know when my original eisenglas started to yellow/fog that I could clean it up with a Meguiers polish made to do that, but it would come back in a matter of weeks.

I went with Strataglas when I replaced the whole top.

Yep, that's the table underneath. Finished another piece today that was really bad. This time I put it over a drop cloth. It's  not just that they were yellow,  they we seriously rough to the touch and discolored. It's like a compound and a polish in one.

Wow, that is an excelent result. I tried on mine, helped, but not like that!  I just ended up replacing them.

Has anyone used the 210 Polish(not the cleaner & polish).  I have very minor scratches but curious if anyone has used both.
