Fresh water flush

I was thinking about putting a fresh water flush on my engine. Figured it would be nice to flush throughout the season. Was thinking though, how will the water circulate if the thermostat is closed. Is the flush install only for freshwater cooled engines?

It will work if you flush with a hot motor

Why not run the motor while flushing????

Because I have an Alpha drive, won't it pump in sea water?

You need to put a valve to isolate the drive and add a fresh water hose.
