Merc 350 serial number

Where can I find the serial number for my engines? Twin 2006 mag 350 MPI. Both plates at the top of the engines are blank like this. I assume the serial numbers are elsewhere? Thanks

Its on the back of the engine. Stick your head back there. It will be towards the top of the block

had the same problem and there was no way to read it on the back of the motor...I contacted Rinker, I gave them the hull ID, the registration, my drivers license...for some reason they were pretty protective of the information but they did give it to me. You have to assume the engine they put in is the same one in the boat now...

@rasbury when my boat was still in storage I needed my S/N and couldnt find where I wrote it down. I gave them my Hull ID via email and they responded back within 15 minutes with my serial for my engine lol

Careful just getting the info from Rinker. I had my engine changed under warranty after year 1 of ownership (from brand new).  Rings didn't seat properly.  So my current engine serial number won't match the original records.

If you can't get back there, can you get your hand back there and take a picture with your phone?
