2005 Rinker 342

Would like any information on 2005 Rinker 342. Thinking of purchasing one. Good reviews so far. Would like to hear good, bad or indifferent opinions.

I think for overall value the 342 is hard to beat.Where are you located?

I have a 2005 232 i bought brand new. I love just cant seem to get the time for that and the camper. Im looking to sell it but its prob to small for what your looking for

Great Boat!  tons of room.  you want to watch what engines you get.  the Volvo has had some issues with the out drives.  You want to make sure the bellows and gimbel bearings are all updated to version 3.  Get a good surveyer who is fimilliar with these issues.  I have the Mercwhich run great.  Whit them you just need to keep an eye on the outdrive corrision.

I have the same boat, love it. just make sure that if the drives are composite drives, the bellows are the newest ones, so you don't have problems.
I love my boat, great value for the $.

I have a 2003 342..been a great boat, tons of room, seaworthy.  Definately happy with it!

If you find a boat with composite drives... RUN!!!  the bellows will not be the last fix! Read up on the history.  Google and all will be understood!  I had them and got rid of them!

I have a 2006 342, since new.  Excellent boat.  And I think mine gets better looking with each passing year.  If you found a 2005 version that passes a survey I would say go for it, with the caveats given in some of the above posts regarding the composite drives.  Composites are what I had.

 

I like my 342  enough that I am about to launch her with Ocean X drives and a pair of brand new engines.  I am in a big hurry to try all that new and better stuff out for the first time.
