Fuel water separator

I have a 242 with 5.7 efi bravo 3. I'm thinking of adding a fuel water seperator and was wondering if anyone has added one of these to their 242 and if so where is the best place to put it?

A 'must have' for sure. All my boats either had them or I added them. Never had a 242 but I would mount it on a solid vertical surface that is easy to reach with room for a drip pan underneath when changing out.  -Paul

What year is your engine? It may already have one.

The boat is a 2000 model but I don't think it has the original engine so it could be older or newer than this.
