fender for swim platform

Had an adventurous past weekend while leaving my slip in a stiff breeze and strong current.

I got pushed into my neighbor's boat and a small tap with my swim platform.  I was thinking of adding some kind of bumper on the swim platform like the 90 degree bumpers you see on docks.

On days like that I usually have my wife or an available passenger be on standby with a boat hook to push off if needed.

I think you'd regret screwing something to the platform.  It's better to have a crew member who has quick access to a boat hook and an inflatable fender.

Thanks for the feedback.  Ordered a boat hook for the Admiral and the 90 degree bumpers today...not sure the path I'll take.  I can used them on the dock itself in any case.

You could always get one of these to tie on the side you need it.
