Exhaust through prop versus elsewhere

I thought that all exhaust for a Bravo three was through the prop.  I bought a new Rinker and am happy so far. but I was a bit surprised as some (or all ) of the exhaust appears to come out at the top of the stern drive - forgive my ignorance in how to properly explain this.  There is exhaust residue on the side of the boat beside the engine after running the boat - not a big deal but still a bit of a surprise.   Is this normal ?

Well it's either coming from your ripped or missing exhaust boots or you side or thru hull exhaust installed.
boot is the likely issue and running rich.
