Speaker Popping

MadcowMadcow Member Posts: 58 ✭✭✭
Put a new stereo in and the new speakers and the speakers are in the same location as the previous.

Only now when I lower the drive the front starboard speaker pops every-time I hit the drive trim switch.

None of the other speakers make that sound, there completely clean.

sounds like a ground issue of some sort.  Anytime you get noise other than what you want hear from speaker it's related to grounding or some kind of electrical bleed over.

But a ground issue should affect all speakers no?

Start with checking your connections at the speakers and at the amp/stereo.

Check the grounds at the drive trim pump too.

Had the same problem on the same speaker when I did my system. I reran a new speaker wire that was insulated and it fixed it.
