    The o-ring seal is one of two between the outdrive and bellhousing (where they separate) so you would have to pull the drive to honestly check them. If you do..always replace them both and clean the mating surfaces too.

    @jme097, you said your tech serviced your drive. If that was a yearly service and he pulled it off he should have, imo, replaced the seals. They come in a "kit" a small plastic bag and I think they are red - he should have grabbed them on his way to your boat.

    Anyway, try the other checks first before you start pulling drives....and your maintenance bill or their maintenance pdf on your boat should indicate if those seals were changed.
