Priming the Fresh Water Pump

It appears mine has more air than water inside. Anybody know how to prime it?

On my boat, I have to fill the fresh water tank all the way to the top.  Then the pump will self-prime.

That was mine too, the first time of the season. After that it would work at any level.

@shawnmjr, yes but because I used s charcoal filter at the dockside water supply and a water softener I never got anything in my lines.....but I like the idea of checking.

If there's no where for the air to escape, and it stays in the casing, that impeller just spins like a tiny fan doing nothing.

I have a straight clean stream from all outlets.....but only about half as strong as last year. It will prime....meaning it will pressure up and auto turn off just not as much pressure.

@shawnmjr is on target with the faucet screens.  They get clogged with sand and other particles.  Easy to clean ...
