Shore Power Volt Meter

MarkBMarkB Member Posts: 3,976 ✭✭✭✭✭

So, I have everything working on my boat sweetly now!

Well, everything except for one thing.

In the Galley at my 110V breaker board, the voltage meter is not 100%.

I turn the shore power selector switch to port side, where I'm plugged in, then the main breaker switch is flicked on, and finally the 110V boar isolator switch.  When I do this the volt meter goes up to like 50 or 70V, not 110V.  If I tap it, the needle moves eventually up to 110V.

Do I need to have the volt meter replaced, or is there an easy fix?

Thanks.

Mark

Sounds like the meter is sticking. It might have to be replaced. I do not think you can take them apart to fix....

Dealer got me a new volt meter. Replaced in a few minutes (much easier than I though).  All fixed now.
