We're always in the raft lines on the NE side of the island......Eh! That's where us Canadians come in from.

What a gong show Jobbie is. Weather is shaping up nice. Water might be a bit deep this year.

Joe - pretty sure I saw you a couple years ago with the black 276. If I see you - I'll introduce myself. Pretty hard to find people at that event.

I only went last year, and there are a TON of 276s on LSC, so it probably wasn't me. If you see a 276 named Moose Tracks, that's me. Come say hi and have a drink. Might even have some eye candy on board too.

I'll for sure wander around the south end of the island. Hate to say, probably slightly cleaner water on the north side of Gull. (wink, wink.) Water always seems to be about 98.6*F on the south side. Odd....

@JoeStang ---- LOL...at my age too much concentrated eye candy can cause blood pressure issues... if things work out for the week-end plans...I'll probably be out on club island on the middle channel which is fairly close to gull island

    Mattie,

Those pure michigan videos are just awesome!  Had me rolling!  I grew up just south of Flint, Lake Fenton and Linden area.

The north side is where the big lineup is, so all the junk & trash (people included lol) are over there. I'll be on the south side rafted up with a couple fun, but responsible boats right where the star is, or at least close to it depending on how packed it is around noon when we get there.

OK, I gotta ask.  Why does the photo have what looks like a high-yield detonation five miles behind this big party?

LoL, I asked that last year when I saw the pic. I think they said it was a controlled burn.

    A controlled burn?  How appropriate!

Yeah it was a controlled burn on a nearby island of invasive species of phragmites (like cat tails).

The island, along with many a people, needed some antibiotics later that week I'm sure. lol

Yeah the burn was going on right across the channel from my marina. It actually went longer than expected haha
