High pressure fuel pump winning and getting hot on a 5.7 Volvo penta due to clogged screen in regulator. I cleaned once and it stopped for a short time. Found out that Regal is saying to take off the screen and replace with e-clip. I can't find where to buy one. Does anyone have any idea where to buy one.

The eclip is for higher than normal pressure as it restricts the return. Doesn't cause noise unless its really plugged, should still be done though. There is a screen in each pump inlet from what I have read, and you can take the unit apart and clean it(paint chips) also I have read. I'll do mine this winter, its working fine so far. Plugged fuel filter will also cause noise as its on the inlet side of the pump. Volvo has a high capacity filter, 644 is last 3 numbers of the part# I think
