What size memory foam topper for 342 V-berth and rear bed?

I am going to order some memory foam toppers to cut up.  What size do i need for the front V-berth and also is the rear actually a queen size?

I think the rear berth is between queen/king if I remember.

Front berth is really odd ball shaped, if you want 1 piece, I bet you need king.

I'm thinking of replacing both of my berth cushions with more of a real mattress, anyone gone that route or have advise?  Seems unlimited options out there!

Right, queen bed sheets barely fit our rear birth but queen will not fit v birth, must have king sheets for v birth

I like BD's suggestion too.  May get a topper for now and one day look at having custom mattress made.

I have foam topper's from Walmart for sleeeping. 2-Ply 1" Toppers. Made a huge difference.

Were you able to cut it to fit?  Do you recal what size you bought?  I wanted to use a gel topper too.  The regular foam gets to warm for me.

I have a Tempur-pedic mattress at home, they get too warm personally.

Just a repeat of our solution.  Queen topper in the forward birth.  A form fitting sheet to fit for the bottom sheet.  Regular sheet and blanket to fit over the top.  The mattress fits the longitudinal dimension perfectly, the side to side dimension leaves the sides of the bunk exposed so you see the triangle on each side.  But it works great.  It can be made up by standing on the deck at the foot of the bunk because you can rotate the topper around to assist you while tucking in the edges and corners of the bedding.

After researching ways to trim memory foam I stopped by Bed Bath and Beyond and bought and electric carving knife for $15 (after the 20% off coupon ).  That money was well spent.  The electric carving knife worked really well! That fact that the knife was brand new and sharp didn't hurt either,  I'm sure.  There are likely better (and more expensive) carving knives on Amazon if you plan to do a lot of foam work.

I put a king size topper in the vee berth in my 270 and it wasn't quite wide enough at the aft part of the vee.

If staying cool is a consideration then I highly recommend that you consider a latex foam made by either a Talalay or Dunlop process (examples in links below).  Spend some time understanding the density and firmness (ILD, indentation load deflection) ratings with respect to what you like in a mattress at home (firm vs soft).  I have considered making custom cushions and found the following link very informative in understanding foam.

We used a king size 4 inch gel topper, took our padding pieces,  home laid it out on the living room floor took a marker and Mark the pattern and then we used a electric bread knife to cut the gel topper work perfectly use the pieces to fill in really work nice

WAIT!!!! Before you do that, you can get an original OEM style foam bed MUCH MUCH cheaper than a topper!.... I Bought one for the aft cabin in my fiesta vee and we both sleep better on that than our $800 mattress at home!!  (You can also cut it pretty easily if necessary)
