USB plugs and volt meter

I just installed this today. Thought it will come in handy more than the cigarette plug. It shows voltage when the key is in the accessory position also (my anolog gauge doesn't). It will be nice to see my actual voltage when out on the hook. The USB plugs will be nice to charge my iPhone 6 Plus that I use the Navionics app on. I was using the USB plug on the stereo but the charging cord was strung across the helm.

I just removed the cigarette plug and installed it using the same wiring.

That's awesome... But be sure you know what battery you are reading that voltage from. Was the cigarette lighter wired to the house battery(s) or starting battery?

Good point, I actually think it was wired to both. I'll double check this weekend with the battery switch.

Aero- Even on my VesselView I get some funky voltage readings... Not exactly sure where it is reading it from either.

Nice.....I did something similar but put mine on the back of the port seating area.

Turns out that the cigarette lighter was wired to both batt 1 and batt 2. So the volt meter reads voltage for either batt 1 or 2 depending what the battery switch is switched to.
