FYI: Vessel view as Nmea 2000 Gateway

I have read and been told conflicting information as wether or not vessel view acts as a can to nmea 2000 gateway. I want to confirm that all engine data that is sent to vessel view is converted to nmea200 and shows up on connected and suportted devices.

I am saying that the new vessel view does act as a gateway and convert the can data to nmea 2000. I just installed vessel view, letting others know that buying a vessel view 4 / 7 will also give them the conversion for their chart plotters.
