Arm rest, Fiesta Vee 250, 2003

Maybe it’s just me but I could really use some kind of arm rest to support my hand/arm when handling the throttle. Especially when you need to be active and precise in handling the throttle in rough sea.

In other boats I have had there have always been some kind of area to support the throttle-arm.

Any ideas on how to retrofit the boat with this?

Thanks

The old SNJ-2 aircraft I used to work on had a spring loaded flip down panel by the throttle for an arm rest. Worked great and the spring would keep it tucked away when not in use. I'm sure this can easily be done on your boat. I'll see if I can find a picture.

This picture shows it perfect. The armrest panel would flip down to rest your arm while you adjust the throttle that is just forward of it on long flights.

Pam- I completely agree with you... Always find myself resting my arm on the narrow ledge at the bottom of the windshield(not very comfortable!).
