Quicksilver mineral 25w40 versus Mercruiser 25w40 semisynthetic oil

is it acceptable to change your oil with mineral Quicksilver that is not specifically identified as semi syn although the oil manufacturer explicitly states that their QS oil exceeds all mercrusier requirements?
I have a 2013 MAG 350 that request that either synthetic or semi synthetic is required.
