a few years ago a King Ranch decked out 550 pulling a flat bottom boat out of the drink at the end of my street couldn't get traction... all six wheels were spinning like mad... the guy on the boat was powering into the tower to keep the truck from sliding backward...

i was walking my dog and encountered this.. I told them to tie off to a post. I pulled them out with a 1/2 ton dodge 360/408 using a tow strap... the difference is i was on dry ground. they were on the slime that grows on that ramp in the winter, that is super slick...

he was chastised by his crew and me too that his 100k rig had to be saved by a heap of junk and which exercised minimal effort in doing so... but... it's all about traction... and the reason four wheel drive is a good idea for boat owners...

p.s.... this guy wasn't anchored by his skag like the fool above...
