Wires from fuel senders

so what color wires should I be looking for that make the gage read fuel level
or how do I test for that wire behind the gage. My Gage's are cross cross somehow and I need to swap the wires around

Should be pretty easy to tell. Pull gage panel out, there are 3 wires on the back of the gage (not including wire for light). 1 ground, 1 12v power and the other from the sender. The one from the sender is the one you want to swap over. You'll more than likely have to splice them. Not sure what you have for a boat but on my 2005 342, the wires are pretty tight.
