Yes dream, that was by plan! I went down to the boat today, had not pulled the plug and we have finally have been getting some rain. There was a little water in it and I poked my finger in there to make sure nothing was on the other side  and there did feel chunks of stuff. Did not look further and it was raining and the drive will be pulled. We did the put it in gear and spin the prop with no turning of the drive shaft...so....would this suggest the drive seized and then the coupler went?

ras- it's a shame SEI doesn't build B3's... the a1g2 I just bought from them which has about 10 hour on it is solid.. changed oil @ 3hours and again @ 10... first time just a hint of sparkle on the magnet... second time- none... knock on wood, right?

I found a a1g2 geared where i wanted it for $1.5k, that had approx 300hours on it... the SEI brand new was right at $1k.  I found a rebuilt a1g2 for $2k... I don't know if it was when I was looking to buy (spring) or they are really that expensive, but....  I took a stab in the dark with the SEI and so far so good...

merc still owns the patent on the b2 and b3... if you want one, that's where it came from, though someone may have rebuilt it along the way who wasn't merc...
