Water and Waste caps

I need to replace the water and waste fills and I am wondering if it is worth it to "upgrade" from the plastic caps to the stainless models? The waste fill has corroded to the point that I have had to replace the cap twice because I was unable to remove it. The stainless version looks great, but I don't want to replace it if it is going to do the same thing.

Stainless should not corrode. Suprised what you had did.

I will try and get the cap off and post a photo. It's ugly. Maybe there were too many turds from the PO. LOL.

If it was just chrome over steel, makes sense. SS or chrome over bronze is even better.

Looking at Perko's site, the one that I have is chrome plated zinc alloy. The replacement that I ordered is chrome over bronze.

Zink will go bad fast once the chrome plating is violated.
