342 2002 water heater

No power at water heater, cut out quick disconnect and but spliced. Wondered if anyone had to replace breaker in panel.

Hope its not the breaker. Its a real PITA to get at the panel.

Just to be clear: water heater not working or no verified AC power to it?  If it is not working, the element burned out (assuming AC power to it of course).

If no AC power to it, worth checking the breaker.  I was just in my breaker box  big PITA.  See this:
