Blower Vent

I have a 2004 Rinker 342 I am trying to find out who makes the blower vent covers. Mine are cracked and I m getting rain water into bilge.  Rinker did not put these vents in the best location. I have always had rain water getting into bilge since boat was new. Anyone have any sugestions?

Common problem!  They are 4" vent outlets. I found new ones at my marina, should be an easy google search. For the rain. I had some AL spacer rings made to raise them up a bit and caulked them. Seems to be working well!

I just replaced mine this past weekend in my 342. Went with these:

Only my issue I had was that the vent tubing was dried and when I pulled it out of the hole it cracked. So I ordered new ductwork and replaced the ducts and vents, about a 2 hour project. What are the spacer rings made of? Did you make them yourself or buy them?

I had them made from aluminum then painted them. 1/4" thick I think.  The rings screw down, then the vent cover screws to the ring. Made a big difference on stopping the rain/wash water from draining in. 

The more forward one has a taper so it fits under the top plate on the gunnel. 

Probably over engineered, but that's what we do!  lol

Sea Dog vent covers replace the OEM covers on 2006 FV250s. My original factory covers became brittle and basically disintegrated. The Sea Dog vents are made of heavier gauge plastic and are holding up well after 5 years.
