2005 fiesta vee 300 with twin 5.0 mercrusier with bravo 3 drives. 215 hours.
port engine in protect mode and will not allow rpm over 2500. all temps, charge, and fluids wnl. initially had codes for low water pressure and replaced both port and starboard sensors and now have normal flow readings. no error codes on computer- fuel pressure ok. runs fine with no roughness and idles at normal rpm. throttle links fine. mechanic suspects ignition or plugs to start. i will pull out and check recent fuel filter change to rule out dreaded paint in cool fuel possibly contaminating injector system...any thoughts?
