I cruise at 3500 - 3600 rpms, that puts me at around 27 - 30mph. Top speed is about 44mph. I'm very pleased with these engines. Real smooth and easy to work on.

I have over 650 hrs on mine. As far as what to watch out for, just make sure that the boat has had routine maintenance. Not sure what drives are on the boat your looking but IMO, I've had both and the Volvo DP-S are better drives than the Bravo III's

DD2, never having volvo, always merc products, mostly because no one in my area work's on them. Enlighten us on what you have found out. DP-S vs B lll's always in the past I have been afraid to buy a boat with Volvo's
Easier to remove, smother operation, just don't like the clunking in and out of gear, no corrosion. Never done a shift cable replacement on a B III but it's pretty darn easy on the Volvo. Been told its much easier on Volvo. Gimbal ring is stronger

Oceanx are great drives. Burlier than the dps. The volvos don't leak at the gimbal swivel pin either! The only downside in my mind is lack of knowledgable techs and cost of parts.
gotcha . seems like pretty nice boat but also seems like it was maintained for a while. Ac has a weird smell in it when running too. Well see. Radar arch appears to be fiberglass or PVC not aluminum. is that normal or aftermarket?
