246 Smartcraft junction box

Anyone know if a 246CC with 350 mag would have a Smartcraft junction box behind/inside the helm?  I have received my new Vesselview mobile module and wondering if I install in the engine room, order a Smartcraft cable and ray to run it to helm, or if there may already be a connection in the helm.

If you have a digital throttle, yes. If you have a manual throttle, no.

Check to see if you have two stiff cables running from the top of the engine towards the front of the boat. They will make soft turns. If you have that, it is a manual throttle.

DTS s an amazing setup. Do smooth and easy on the drives.

It is a great setup, but not sure I'd say simplified.  There are actually more items to break in the engine room.  MT, I spoke with a Merc rep and they are not necessarily easy on the drives.  They will allow you to shift from forward to reverse at 1500 rpm.  Just something that people have to watch when pulling back the throttle when coming off plane.  Again, I love the DTS and would not want to go back to not having it.

I sure wish i had DTS.  I thought i read a while ago that you can actually upgrade many boats in that few year smartcraft pre DTS timeframe to having DTS.  Anyone know what kind of upgrade that would be?
