would like to upgrade my chartplotter with a larger screen, any ideas on the best place to mount it

On my 2008 320, I have a Lowrance HDS-7 mounted on the dash and I also installed an HDS-8 by removing the starboard side cup holder on the dash. I installed a flat stainless plate under the cup holder and mounted the HDS-8 using the Lowrance bracket. Pretty easy to do and it looks pretty good for the most part. I don't have any recent pics of the HDS-8 but I do have an older pic of the 7200C and the HDS-5 units that I used to have.

Your helm looks real good! Cool idea to use the cup holder area! On my 2014 EC 360 we used the starboard cup holder area to mount the Axius joystick.
