Nav & Anchor light queston

Have been slowly converting to LED and the mast anchor light is next on on my list.  In researching,  I run across this.    ...http://www.perko.com/catalog/navigation_lights_under_20_meters/1078/12v_converter_module_for_use_with_perko_led_combination_masthead_anchor_lights/  Is it not just a matter of switching out bulbs and it fixtures for LED ones?

Second part to my question...in looking at all the lights, why wouldn't an all around or 360 degree light work for both navigation and anchor?

If you don't have a stern light, you can use a 360 as both nav and anchor.  That's how most Rinker cruisers are set up.
