Steering Problem

My friend has a 2006 342FV. While under way if he lets go of the steering wheel the wheel turns all the way to the right. Any idea's on what would cause this? Fixes? Thanks for your help.

Deployed trim tab? One drive at different level than another (on a friend's boat the trim tab shims were in different locations after a maintenance session) Steering pump problem.

Bad Rack and pinion?

Its not the tabs or the drives. Does not matter if the boat is going fast or slow (no wake) he/we checked with the drives up/down same with the tabs. As soon as you let go of the wheel it spins to the right.

Handy not sure about the R/P. It steers very easy and is responsive. No power steering pump noises and boat handles OK.
